30 Days of Chlollie: Day 30
Feb. 14th, 2011 09:26 pmI can't believe that this is over already (granted I did group a couple days, but still...), but I guess now it's time to answer the ultimate question...
Day 30 - Reason you ship them
Chloe and Oliver are characters that can be cookie-cutter if put into the wrong hands... but they’re not. In my opinion, they’re the most real characters on the show and they’ve probably gone through the most in comparison to everyone else. They’ve been abducted, ‘killed,’ possessed, heck they’ve both ‘murdered’ someone.
They’ve had their hearts broken numerous times and neither of them knows what it’s like to have a real family in their lives. They feel alone, which is why they find solitude with each other.
They’ve been knocked down so many times, that they are used to getting back up on their own. Yet in their darkest hours, she’s the reason he gets his face out of the gutter and he’s the reason she wants to plug into the real world.
It started with a “Wow,” built to a partnership, then a friendship, and then they played the role of each other’s saviour. Then, as their lives became as normal as SV life can be, there was a night of target practice and single malts. The rest they say... is history.
But why do I ship them? The short version is that they are a partnership, they aren’t each other’s better halves – they are just... them. They’re human, they make mistakes, but they don’t let that stop them. Despite their lack of believing in themselves, they always have faith in others, no matter what. Apart, they’re amazing characters, together.... they’re epic.

on February 15th, 2011 04:40 am (UTC)Really in the wrong hands it could have turned out totally different and been a disastrous outcome. These two have just gone through so much both alone and together. Each of them pulls the other out of the gutter when they need it the most. They are the ones who give eachother that little push that they need. Who knew it just started with the one word "Wow" then moved onto a partnership and eventually a loving relationship. I love what you said about them not being perfect, because they aren't. They have flaws but they work through them together.
This is what I absolutely love about the two of them.
