Unintended Hiatus part 5: Life happens

I wasn't going to do one of these, but with the recent drop of authors in the comm, I thought it was best to say that I'm not going anywhere... I'm just weirdly busy for the next few months. Book or Cover will get finished sometime next week, and after that I have a few fics to work on (3,1 and 5 are closest to posting). However, between work, courses, the new television season and hockey starting in the coming weeks, priorities change a little bit. Plus, I'm strongly considering attacking NaNo again this year in November.

Just know I'm still writing away and I promise to finish everything that I've started on here. Except for Renewal. That one still could go either way, but if I post the next part, then I'll finish it.

Trust me, I have a lot of fics I want to finish, including a new saga that I know is going to take a lot of time to plan.

Glad you're enjoying Book or Cover. The final chapter will probably be up next week (sorry), but I think it'll be worth it.

I'm trying to, I admit, most of it is professional development, but at this point, I'm taking advantage of a lot of neat opportunities. I do hope to keep writing when I have time.

NaNo is on the fence though. My November might be crazier than I thought.

I'm glad you're not going away permanently! But I get that sometimes you need a break, and I get the "weirdly busy" part. Especially with work. And with all the new shows starting, and me not even caught up on summer shows, I'll be dating my DVR again this Fall. I just hope Gotham lives up to the hype.

Oh no, I have wayyy too much to finish before that happens. It's not even a break this time, as I'm hardly going to be home. Last night was my first night at home in almost 2 weeks.

I'm caught up on summer shows, but I'll be dating my DVR too. I'm trying to lower my expectations for Gotham, as a lot of critics say it's good, but not great (besides Penguin, who is the standout apparently). That said, I LOVED that Red Band Society pilot, so I need ratings to go up stat. Flash was also solid. I think I enjoyed that pilot more than Arrow's.

For what it's worth, you might have that talent, you just need to practice. I didn't think I had any talent when I started.

But I'm glad you're still enjoying my stuff, and yes, I do plan to keep eating and sleeping as I enjoy both activities too much to ignore them. As for hockey, I'm just a huge NHL fan in general.

It's so nice of you to update us! I've been so sad watching the tumbleweeds rolling through the comm, but that said, I completely understand. The show ended years ago now and people do move on. I can't seem to, however, so I greatly appreciate that you're still writing! Thanks! :)

Off topic: I caught the Red Band Society pilot last night and liked it a lot more than I expected to. Gotham premieres Monday night here so we'll see.

Well, it looks like activity might be picking up with Dee and fickery back, so little victories I guess? I am going to try to post more soon though, as I can't seem to move on either. Dare these two and their many avenues of potential.

... and I'm probably going to get my update up after all. Something fell through today, so with any luck, it might be up in the next hour.

And yay to you liking RBS. I know some people are knocking it for "realism," but for once, I just let myself enjoy the character's stories. Gotham I'm lowering my expectations for, but I'm still excited for it. Fingers crossed.
