serafina19I'm mainly doing this because my last Coming Soon list worked great in pushing me to finish things. Now, I will hopefully get to #5 on the last list one of these days, but that is still in progress for now.
As always, let me know if something sparks your interest. Some of these are still pretty rough, so the wording may change, but I thought it was best to include as many as possible.
1) He was tempted to ask her why she said that, because even if they were just casual, simple, that didn’t make him a contribution and it definitely didn’t make her a charity case. True, times had been tough, but spending time with him was just a way to prep her for the real world again. For even if the Chloe they remembered before Doomsday was gone, that didn’t mean the person sitting next to him now didn’t have some of her best qualities.
2) Walking up to Victor’s car, he got inside the passenger side, aware that his friend had been watching his dumbfounded face the whole time. “Well?”
Tossing him the thumb drive, Oliver replied honestly, “She took less than five minutes to get every document on this thumb drive. Including your encrypted ones.”
Victor laughed as he turned his keys in his ignition. “Did we tell you or did we tell you?”
Not seeing much point in answering that question, Oliver pointed towards the road ahead of them before leaning back in his seat. “Just drive.”
3) “You may not be wearing rings and there may not be a video on YouTube, but we stumbled across half a wedding certificate in your office while your father was looking for a pen that worked.”
4) Whoever said that Oliver Queen was not a family man was seriously kidding themselves. His days usually consisted of eight to ten hours in a work office combined with the stress of being a CEO and Green Arrow, yet before his patrol, he always found time to tell a story to their son.
5) “No this will be fun. Hanging wires, glowing screens. It’ll be a party.” It was meant as a joke, yet her eyes stopped looking at him, gazing at the room around them. “Chloe?”
She stood up, turning around so that her back faced him before letting out a sigh. “You can’t tell me that there wasn’t a small part of you that was glad to hear Watchtower was down.”
6) “Lois, I’ve been at Queen Industries for the past five hours... plenty of witnesses to go around, not to mention video evidence, so hold back your pitchfork. Plus, if I shot Chloe, do you really think I’d be taking this call?”
And I'm going to make this (hopefully) even more interesting. Options 1 and 5 are offscreensville additions to two episodes. The first person to accurately identify which episodes gets to choose which fic gets posted first (after Book or Cover gets finished). However, I'm excluding 2 and 6 because those are longer multi-chapters and there's no way those will be done for at least a couple more months (probably longer).

I'm super intrigued by all of them, but #3 made me happy with a reference to Ollie's father.

on July 22nd, 2014 01:31 am (UTC)I will say that #3 is an AU that I'm still figuring out. Because I'm trying to incorporate as much canon as possible, which is... fun. This is probably why I'm glad it got picked because it forces me to finish it, which seemed to work out for me last time.
